Work for show

These are the pieces of work that were printed and put up in the show. There is a a1 page of my fmp cider branding, a2 page of fruit juice packaging and a3 of my retro poster.

Visit to UCA shows

Last week I visited the end of year show at Canterbury UCA, I looked around the jewelery area, sculpture, fine art and the photography. Some of the work was extremely good, but the bit I thought the most effort had gone into was the jewelery pieces. I then visited the Maidstone degree show as this is where I'm going in september, their show wasn't as welll organised as the Canterbury one but it was still good to see the variety of work.

FMP Progression

I have now completed my FMP, I enjoyed completing the project as it has enabled me to see my progression of ideas. I am personally very pleased with my final out come as it is different to cider labels available now. 

Completing Website

Today I applied my imagery to my website and added the information about myself. I had to adjust the images to 500mp high in Photoshop and ensure that the picture were set to RBG mode.

Today I edited the images for my website in photoshop so they are the right size for web. This is an example of the size it will be.

University Up Date

Today I have replied to my UCAS offers, I have put UCA Maidstone as my firm choice and Reading as an insurance choice. I was unsuccessful at Bournemouth.

Universities Up Date

I have had three interviews regarding universities, so far I have been to Maidstone UCA, Reading and Bournemouth. I have received a place at Maidstone and Reading, my favourite university is Maidstone UCA. I have'nt yet received feedback from Bournemouth, but the interview was only at the weekend. I have got an interview for HND at college next friday.

FMP Progression

For my FMP I am doing a live project to design some cider packaging. The project is for a local company that is launching a new cider. So far I have researched into current cider brands, organic and commercial, I have also contacted some of the brands via email. I have also researched into packaging regulations and recycling elements. Last week we went on the trip to London where we visited The Tate and the Hayward gallery, these were to get some inspiration from artists work. So far I have decided that I want to design a label in a doodle style to create a modern look to attract a variety of consumers. I am going to research into some artists and create a questionnaire to help me gage what consumers want to see. 

Web development

I worked out the real layout of my website in flash, I basically copied over my ideas from illustrator. I figured out the size the images of my work would need to be, height 500px.
